Mushroom Science was started in 1994 as a way to introduce PSK (polysaccharide-K) to American healthcare practitioners. PSK, also called “Krestin”in Japan, is extracted from the medicinal mushroom Coriolus Versicolor and has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries.
Initially, Mushroom Science manufactured and distributed medicinal mushroom supplements exclusively to healthcare practitioners, but in 2003 the company expanded to offer the same high quality mushroom supplements directly to consumers. Today Mushroom Science provides many mushroom extracts as part of their product line, including Reishi, Chaga, Maitake, Cordyceps, Lion’s Mane and more.”
